The collection of over 2,000 instruments contains examples from six continents, including Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Europe and Australia. Some of the highlights in this installation include a late 17th- and early 18th-century Italian Madolin, a Burmese Saung-gauk (Arched Harp), a Maori Putorino (bugle flute), a Pre-Columbian Priest Whistle (600-900 A.D.) and Serpent instruments from 18th- and 19th-century Europe.
