It is April 1, 1919 and fledgling New York City book publisher John Pace Seavering tries to pick the first manuscript he will publish: a massive volume by his best friend or the autobiography of his lover. As a mysterious machine arrives and begins spewing unsettling predictions about John and his friends, the boundaries between the past, present and future start to disappear. 'The Violet Hour' is an eccentric, funny and fascinating play where fate, ambition and loyalty among friends collide.
