Forty-year Detroiter and mother of five Viola Liuzzo felt so strongly about African-Americans' struggle for equality that in March 1965, she drove to Alabama to participate in a march for civil rights. This special exhibit pays homage to one of Detroit's forgotten civil rights champions.
