Vintage Cycles on the Green at the Kern County Museum August 8, 2009

1st Annual Vintage Cycles on the Green at the Kern County Museum. 17 acres of grassy tree lined streets with turn of the century buildings are the setting for this judged vintage motorcycle show. Vintage motorcycles to 1989, motor scooters to 1989 and vintage bicycles to 1975 compete for awards. There will be motorcycle parts swappers. For those entering their cycle, admission is $20 which includes 2 adults, swap spaces are $40 in advance, $50 day of the show. For the kids, there will be a motorcycle pinata, coloring contest, watermelon eating contest and bicycle rodeo sponsored by the Bakersfield Police Department. For adults there will be both a regular raffle and a 50/50 raffle to benefit local abandoned cat and dog societies. Food booths, programs and pins and a great time in an idyllic atmosphere.
