Abstract: Vint Cerf plans to discuss what he considers to be new opportunities for harnessing the increasingly global and increasingly high capacity Internet. The opportunities are not without significant challenges relating to scaling, responsiveness, social and economic policy, competitiveness, and openness. The challenges do not stop with planetary considerations and Cerf plans to offer some thoughts on interplanetary Internet as well.
