San Francisco's favorite macabre snob, Vinsantos, returns to Oakland on Friday, July 18, to help kick off the "Ill-Famed Spirits Tour".

The former Miss Trannyshack, pied piper of the Bay Area's goth-damaged
dark-cabaret scene, will be joined by Seattle duo Miss Oblivious and
Faye "The Tattooed Psychic.

Biographies
Vinsantos has been a figurine on San Francisco's underground
performance art scene since the late nineties. In 2000, he claimed the coveted title of Miss Trannyshack, raising the bar for pageant hopefuls to come. And, as co-creator of the annual San Francisco Underground Short Film Festival, Vinsantos showcases truly independent Bay Area filmmakers. His self-described "glam cabaret" act has been featured at the DeYoung Museum, the SF MOMA and Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts. Vinsantos' debut full-length album, "A Light Awake Inside," which was produced by David J, a founding member of post-punk icons Bauhaus and Love and Rockets, is scheduled for release in August 2008.

Miss Oblivious has been chronicling the West Coast underground scene
in pictures and words since 1994. Her work influenced by dustbowl gigolos, paranormal activity, toothless punks and shanghaied sailors, this veteran of San Francisco's queer punk scene, picture-taker, zine-creator and doll-maker is now making her mark on Seattle's cabaret scene. Miss O currently helps produce the public access television show "Ill Famed Spirits" for Seattle's Scan TV 77.

Faye "The Tattooed Psychic" is one of the Northwest's most well known psychic mediums and ghost hunters. She has been heralded by numerous publications as the leader of a new generation of spiritual misfits, and is the creator and producer of "Spiritus Live," an evening of performances held monthly at Seattle's Jewel Box Theater. Faye is also the co-creator of the "Ill Famed Spirits" television show for Seattle's Scan TV 77.
