Vinikour Harpsichord Recital February 3, 2013

Harpsichordist Jory Vinikour will perform at River Road Church, Baptist, on Sunday, February 3 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel. This recital is part of the E. Carl Freeman Concert Series at River Road Church. It is open to the public and free, however a freewill offering will be received.

Vinikour is a 2013 Grammy Nominee for Best Classical Instrument Solo for his record, “The Complete Harpsichord Works of Rameau.” The producer of the record Dan Merceruio is also nominated this year for Producer of Year, Classical for his work on Vinikour’s album and others.

Vinikour’s talents are spread worldwide while performing at festivals and in concert halls as a soloist and accompanist to singers. He was born in Chicago, but now resides in Paris after receiving a scholarship from the Fulbright Foundation to study with Huguette Dreyfus and Kenneth Gilbert.

He will be performing works by Rameau and Bach at our concert.
