Vinifera Wine Bar & Bistro’s next stop for the “Vinifera’s World Tour” dinner series is Chile. On Saturday, May 22nd guests will be transported to Chile without the hassle of flying, and will experience the cuisine and wines of the region.

Chef Bo Palker’s menu for the evening will feature appetizer-sized portions perfect to share such as Cangrejos Mornay, baked crabmeat in a Mornay sauce; Pollo Asada, marinated chicken with rice; Camarones Enchilados, shrimp stew; Chiles Rellenos, stuffed chili peppers; and Sopa de Feijao, black bean soup. In addition, Sommelier/General Manager Jason Meringolo has created flights of wine from the region that pair well with the dishes. Guests can enjoy their experience on the outdoor patio if weather permits.

“Vinifera’s World Tour” is a monthly dinner series that started in 2009 and will continue throughout 2010 due to its immense popularity. Upcoming destinations include France on June 26th, and the Pacific Northwest on July 24th. Guests who attend the dinners will receive a Vinifera passport and a stamp for the specific country/region featured at the dinner. Once patrons attend three of “Vinifera’s World Tour” dinners and collect the relevant stamps, they will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win an overnight stay at The Westin Reston Heights and breakfast for two at Vinifera.

Reservations for “Vinifera’s World Tour” are recommended and can be made between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. To make reservations please call 703-234-3550 or visit www.viniferabistro.com.
