Please join us for an observance of the 3500th Military Death in Iraq Monday June 11th 4:30 pm -- 5:30 pm West 8th & Bayfront Pkwy. (Frontier Park) This will be a respectful, mostly silent vigil, observing the tragic landmark of the 3500thth US troop death in the Iraq War. We will hold peace cranes and 171 Gold Star flags (each flag representing a Pennsylvania military death in the Iraq War). The organizers request that you please leave signs at home for this particular event, except for those that convey this specific message: 3500 US Dead Countless Iraqis killed End the War Now. If possible, please wear black/dark clothing to convey mourning. Also, black armbands will be available. We would really like to get as many people as possible, each person holding one of the gold star flags. Please encourage others to join us.
