Vienna Boys' Choir comes to town

The world renowned Vienna Boys' Choir will perform the works of Mozart, Schubert, Strauss and Schumann at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on October 25 at 8pm.

The choir's 100 singers, aged from 10 to 14, divide into four groups to give about 300 concerts and performances each year. They have visited most European countries, and are frequent guests in Asia, Australia and the Americas.

Together with the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna State Opera Chorus, the choir maintains the tradition of the imperial musicians. Since 1498, they have provided the music for the Sunday Mass in Vienna's Imperial Chapel.

Tickets are $100, $160, $220 and $300 at URBTIX outlets, while the elderly, the disabled, full-time students and welfare recipients get a 50% discount.
