Victorian Christmas Open House at Historic Pennypacker Mills December 13, 2008

Ring in the Christmas season with a visit to historic Pennypacker Mills for our Victorian Christmas Open House! This is a unique experience where for one day, we bring to life the Victorian Christmas holidays with living historians in each room and our Victorian Santa Claus greets children to listen to their wish list & share a candy cane! See glittering ornaments, the glow of oil lamps throughout the mansion, hear the history of Christmas during the early twentieth century, and how so many of the traditions we follow today, started at this time. Watch as Clear Toy Candy is made using vintage candy molds (2-5 pm only).

Our Museum Shop is stocked with unusual gifts and ornaments of long ago. This is a great place to get that special person on your gift list a gift they will never forget! Cash and checks only.
