Victoria and the Vaudevillians/10th Annual Cheshire Rock Opera January 25, 2013

The brainchild of Oakland artist/musician Sean Lee, The Cheshire Rock Opera, now nearing its 10th year, is a full-immersion participatory experience weaving together popular songs, musical renditions of Carroll's works, and audience interaction, at a costumed Tea Party you will never forget!

In the last flickerings of this year of the Dragon, the Oakland Metro Opera house is your host for "Beware the Jabberwock", and Wonderland-themed costumes are strongly encouraged!

This madcap evening features a Wonderland Fashion Show and "Queen's Concert", a variety show with special musical guests from Oakland and the greater bay area's bohemian underground. All those in Alice costumes are invited to join the Alice Costume & Dance Competition for fantastic prizes. Hatters, be advised we will be having a maddest hat compatition as well. In addition, local artists will be on hand with vending booths to ply their wares.

The evening features talents of Victoria Victrola who will be performing with her band The Vaudevillains as well as providing a tea service, flamingo croquet by Sugar Bunny Invincible, The Secret Circus/clownsnotbombs,the Slow Poisoner's hand crafted drink me label, puppets by Shadow Circus creature theatre, the Hatters' Band (w/members of the Hobo Gobbelins), delux coffee break by 5cent Coffee and MORE!!!
