Mixed Martial Arts is a mixture of all the martial art styles and is the convergence of striking, grappling and submission techniques, allowing fighters to use a variety of different disciplines to defeat their opponent. Fighters can win by knockout, forcing their opponent to tap out (submit) or by referee stoppage, and are held in an ominous 20' x 20' steel cage. The competitors are all professional athletes, and all of the matches are fully sanctioned by the Iowa State Athletic Commission.
