The Virginia War Memorial will show the award-winning motion picture,
Veterans of Color followed by a special reception to celebrate and honor the contributions and achievements of African Americans in the U.S. Armed Forces on Friday evening, February 8 in the Memorial’s Paul and Phyllis Galanti Education Center at 621 South Belvidere Street in Richmond.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with the movie presentation scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m.

Produced by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), Veterans of Color “reveals the patriotic untold stories of blacks in the military during a transformative era in American history…as told by the veterans who lived them.”
