Veterans for Peace honor veterans with a parade November 11, 2007

On Veterans Day, Sunday November 11, 2007 Veterans For Peace will honor
veterans with a parade beginning at 1:00 pm starting at the Downtown
Meadville Mall and marching up Chestnut Street to Diamond Park for a
rally with speakers, music and dance.

Jonathan Hutto, 29, is active duty Navy assigned to Norfolk based
aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt. Supported by antiwar military
family and veterans organizations, Hutto and several other service
members created a Web site called Appeal for Redress. Through this Web
site active duty and reserve troops may e-mail their elected
representatives in Congress for US withdrawal from Iraq. Over 2000 have
done so during the last year. Hutto is allowed by military rules to run
his antiwar campaign on personal time, out of uniform and off base.
Hutto will participate in the parade as a pre-veteran. Everybody welcome.
