Veterans Day 2008 Hartland June 28, 2008

On Saturday 28th June 2008 the Royal British Legion Hartand Branch (North Devon) will celebrate Veterans Day by holding an afternoon and evening event. These events will embrace Veterans of all ages, local youth and the local community. The afternoon event will start at 1300 hours with a March Past consisting of Veterans, local cadet organisations and Emergency Services. This will be followed by arena displays, Hartland Town Band, fly past by SAR RAF Chivenor, childrens street party with entertainer and a BBQ. The evening programme will take place at the RBL Club Hartland and will focus on a HM Armed Forces Veterans Badge Award Ceremony with some twenty five local veterans being presented with their badges by Rear Admiral Ric Cheadle CB., President Devon County RBL.
