Vernal Pool Hopping March 30, 2011

It's vernal pool season, so that means we all need to pray for rain! We're hoping for moderately inclement weather on the night of March 30 so we might explore a reliable vernal pool in the region in search of spotted salamanders, wood frogs, and other dwellers of these highly important yet barely protected habitats. We'll start at the North River Wildlife Sanctuary with a quick education on what we're looking for, and then it's out for adventure! Registration is required. Call 781-837-9400 for details.
