It’s that time again. In conjunction with Juxtapose art and culture magazine, ArtNow SF brings you Veni Vidi Vici on Saturday, April 11th at Club Six. For the April edition of the music, art and fashion monthly, three rooms of club-banging beats and cutting edge clothing and style will be overflowing along with the city’s most diverse crowd. Literally translating to “I came, I saw, I conquered,” Veni Vidi Vici delivers one of the Bay’s best bangs for the buck for those in search of the real, urban nightlife party.
Featured in April’s VVV with be an eclectic array of auditory impressiveness, as Room 1 will be headlined by some of Bronx, New York’s finest hip hop flavor. Camp Lo, the duo who brought you “Coolie High” back in the day return to the Bay supporting their fresh new album “Stone and Rob: Caught on Tape” while Bronx counterpart, Diamond D arrives with his legendary production status in tow. Dating back to the early 1980’s, he’s been producing tracks for the likes of KRS-One, Fat Joe and Too Short, to name a few. This guy knows how to rock a party. Room 2 centers on the funky, disco house Fool’s Gold Records mainstay, Treasure Fingers, a man sure to keep the ladies on the dancefloor and Mad V and Koncept, the LA party machine, electro funk duo known as Villians. Kush Arora drops in Room 3 with his surya dub vibe with DJ’s Jimmy Lee and Rav-E keeping the party going well into the wee hours of the morning.
April’s Veni Vidi Vici also features art from several of the premier artists in the area, including Carlos Talavera, Lopan and Zack Sorenson and the Fusion Fashion Show with clothing from Lionyz, Pardon My Hindi and a half dozen others.
