Taberna del Alabardero has partnered with the Gonzalez Byass, owner of several notable sherry wineries in Spain and exporter of fine wines, brandies and sherries throughout the world, to offer dinner guests a one-night-only sherry spectacle. A venenciador (or trained Flamenco-like sherry pourer) will fill guests’ complimentary glasses with world-renowned sherry, by using a venencia, a thin cup on a long stick, which is cast into the air above his head so the sherry rains down into the glass.
In addition to a gratis glass of sherry compliments of Gonzalez Byass, dinner guests will also enjoy a free bite-size house appetizer, compliments of A&H Seafood Market, owned by Santi Zabaleta, Taberna del Alabardero’s former executive chef, who is also sponsoring the evening.
