Veer explores America's fast-growing bicycling culture by profiling five people whose lives are inextricably tied to bicycling and the bike-centric social groups they belong to. The film follows these characters over the course of a year, offering a behind-the-scenes look at their personal struggles and triumphs. Veer examines what it means to be part of a community, and how social movements are formed.

Tonight's special show benefits the Cascade Bicycle Club sponsored Major Taylor Project.

The Mission of the Major Taylor Project is to create a multicultural bicycling community where teenagers have equal opportunity to spend time outdoors and on a bicycle.

It's vision is an inclusive culture of bicyclists where after school bicycle clubs inspire cooperative behaviors, healthy living and vibrant community partnerships.
Program Goals
* Engage youth to learn about the benefits of bicycle riding and maintenance.
* Introduce groups of 13 to17 year olds to Major Taylor and different types of bicycling, including road touring, mountain biking, track racing, and cyclocross riding.
* Provide mentorship and physical activity in an out-of-school time activity.
* Partner in the community and build local ownership of the program.
