VCU Jazz at The Camel May 19, 2010

9pm - Bryan Hooten's Friday afternoon Small Jazz Ensemble: This group is fresh off a performance with Dave Douglas of his own original music. They have been working together with Bryan Hooten all semester and spent a large portion working on Dave Douglas' music.


10:30 - The Screaming Pelicans (Sam Sherman - drums; Brian Mahne - keys; Matt Harris - bass; Josh Gramling - guitar) This group of students is led by Sam Sherman. Sam presented his Jazz Drum set junior recital towards the end of this semester. He plays regularly with Matt Harris and Josh Gramling. This group is sure to be quite funky with Brian Mahne holding down the organ/keys seat.
