VBUG: Ruby On Rails July 11, 2007

Overview : This session gives a first look at Ruby on Rails as both a language (Ruby) and a web development framework (Rails).

With all of the buzz and hype around this new technology, this session will give a view of it from the perspective of someone familiar with Microsoft .NET development tools and technologies.

It will cover some of the basics of Ruby as a language and will then show some of what can be done with Ruby on Rails.

Presented by: Mr Dave Verwer

Bio: Dave Verwer has over 10 years in the IT industry with experience in everything from real time data gathering software to enterprise scale web application deployments. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer for Link HR Systems where he works closely with Microsoft .NET development technologies.
