Berklee's fifth Kendall Square Concert Series continues to offer up varied lunchtime menu of music every Thursday throughout the summer and has been extended to mid-September. Performers include Berklee students and alumni playing original jazz, Latin, hip-hop, rock, folk, funk, and reggae.

Kendall Square Concert Series Presented by Berklee College of Music present Emily Hulslander and Shea Rose.

According to the blog Let's Call This, Emily Hulslander is a "magical cross between the playfulness of Sophie Milman and the seriousness of Sonya Kitchell. Emily is definitely one to watch." Shea Rose recently opened for Nona Hendryx and Siedah Garrett, and recorded with Cindy Blackman in Italy. Said Andy Buckley on CapeCodToday.com, " She's the black Rickie Lee Jones, the female Lenny Kravitz. . . . She's a singer/songwriter who can plug a hole in a soulful folk tune with a bit of rap." Rose has an armful of original songs that reveal an expansive emotional range while highlighting her chops as a vocalist and guitarist.
