Do you enjoy eating out and trying different cuisines and new restaurants? Join MMA and other single foodies for an evening of gastronomical delights with the MMA Singles Supper Club. We'll take care of making reservations at some of Vancouver's unique restaurants and arrange delicious and varied menus. All you have to do is show up and share an evening of great conversation and laughter as you enjoy the tastes and treats prepared for you by the restaurant's chefs.

Our first fantastic venue will be Satu Sate, where we will indulge in a 5 course Indonesian meal with beer pairings, and hosted by CAMRA's Rick Green. Located on Cambie Street, Satu Sate Combines embellished cooking techniques with the finest ingredients and spicy marination.

Contemporary Indonesian cooking is a rich and complex blend of many cultures. Dutch, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Middle Eastern, and British influences can be seen in much of the present-day food, but proximity to South East Asia has also had a strong influence on the cuisine of Indonesia. If you enjoy the chili peppers, peanut sauces and stewed curries of Thailand, the lemon grass and fish sauce of Vietnam, the intricate spice blends of India and the cooking methods of Asia as a whole, then Indonesian food will surely delight you!

The menu will consist of the following traditional dishes:
* Gado-Gado Salad & Special House Peanut Sauce, paired with Blanche de Chambly or Granville Island Belgian Wit
* Coconut prawn & sambal mayonnaise, paired with Saison Dupont
* Chicken Sate & Krupuk (shrimp chips), topped with Nasi Goreng (fried rice), paired with Fernie First Trax Brown Ale
* Beef Rendang, a traditional dry tender beef brisket curry, paired with R&B Hop Goblin' IPA
* Pisang Goreng, deep-fried banana with vanilla ice cream and La Choulette Ambree or equivalent

For you vegetarians, there will also be a Fresh Market Vegetarian Options using the best of the day's freshest ingredients to tempt your palette.
