An irresistible dance party unfolds every time this youthful, vibrant and soulful ensemble hits the stage with their exhilarating live show. Featuring the best from Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Jamiroquai, Michael Jackson, Tower of Power, and many more. The Phonix throw down thunderous, booty shaking grooves for tons of unstoppable dance-floor-quake! A crisp horn section, heavy hitting rhythm grooves and potent lyric delivery.

Since their inception in 2009, The Phonix have filled up many Vancouver venues including The Yale, The Fairview Pub, The Backstage Lounge, The Railway Club, The Fairmont Pacific Rim and many more. In the summer of 2010, highlights for the band included a successful tour to the Okanagan for the Penticton Peach Festival and Kamloops’ Music in the Park, as well as selling out July 30th at The Yale; one of the biggest hotbeds for rhythm and blues in Western Canada.

On the opening night of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, The Phonix billed with the McLean Girls at the Plaza of Nations right across from the opening ceremonies. In February, The Phonix hosted a fundraiser for Haiti earthquake relief where they billed with the Oye Collective (Saskatchewan), the Boom Booms, the Star Captains and Jackée Guillou.
