This year, do something different for Valentine’s Day. On February 14th, the Gardner Museum throws an unforgettable Valentine’s celebration, with live jazz and beautiful art in one of the most romantic places in Boston.

From 6-9pm, attend an elegant evening party with cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres in the museum’s atmospheric courtyard garden, a magical oasis in the midst of Boston, filled with orchids, jasmine and tropical ferns. Enjoy live jazz from the Lucas Madrazo Quartet and go on a self-guided tour with your sweetie, with a special guide highlighting some of the more sensual artworks in the collection accompanied by romantic poems hand-picked to accompany them. Nibbles like oysters and chocolate truffles are served alongside champagne cocktails, for a truly romantic and decadent night.

Or break away earlier in the day for an afternoon tryst at the museum, with live music from 11:30-4:30.

TICKETS for “A Valentine Evening” are available to the general public, and include a full year of membership at the Gardner, for $160/couple or $100/individual. Museum members receive a discount. Purchase by contacting the membership department at 617.566.5643 or by emailing [email protected].

Daytime music and a self-guided tour handout are available 11:30-4:30 on February 14th, and are FREE with museum admission.
