Vagabond Opera's songs are an eclectic mix of original and traditional compositions, unified by an old-world mood. Elements of Eastern European, klezmer, jazz, Arabic and tango mingle in music played with skill, exuberance and a gritty vagabond edge. Every show is a cabaret of rich musical improvisation, sparkling lyrics and indomitable stage presence. In the tradition of Django Reinhardt, guitarist Paul Mehling leads this ensemble of accomplished and versatile musicians in a festive repertoire of traditional jazz, swing, Cajun, gypsy, blues and more.
