V-Day Lakeview 2009: the Vagina Monologues February 21, 2009

V-Day Lakeview 2009, will present a benefit reading of Eve Ensler's award-winning play 'The Vagina Monologues.' This community-based, all-volunteer production will benefit the Chicago Women's Health Center, which has provided affordable, respectful and accessible health care and education since 1975. First performed off-Broadway by writer and actress Eve Ensler, 'The Vagina Monologues' dives into the pain, humor and power of women's experiences. It is now the cornerstone of V-Day, a global movement to stop violence against women and girls with fund-raising events held on or near Valentine's Day.
