The internet has a wealth of health information that can be used to manage and improve our health. For those of us who understand how to use the Internet, learning about our health has never been easier - information about diseases, medications, preventative health measures, and health insurance is available at the click of a button. But, how can we, as community technologists, make it easier for all people to use technology to access critical and relevant health information on the Internet? Can this information help CTCs make a positive impact on the health of their communities? Alan Carr of the National Library of Medicine @ UCLA will answer these questions and will teach you to how to use the health resources on the NLM web site. To register for this event, or to find more information, please contact the Community Organizing Technology Consortium (CTOC) at 323.664.8862.
