Using Bezel Cups to Set Stones with PMC October 18, 2009

In this day long session, we'll learn to set stones in PMC using bezel cups. Bezel cups are great for setting all types of cabochons, especially stones that are not fireable. They offer an easy to use, professional looking option to stone setting. In this class we'll make a bracelet with PMC and use bezel cups to add a touch elegance to your designs. You'll learn how to select the right bezel cups for the right stone, how prepare the bezel cups for use with metal clay, how to alter the bezel cups to enhance your designs, trouble shooting tips if your cabochon is not cut properly, proper firing temperatures, plus lots of other tips for setting stones using bezel cups.

We'll then make a bracelet using the Aegean stamp collection or texture of your choice. You'll learn how to size, assemble and finish your bracelet. You'll leave with a completed bracelet ready to wear!

Class fee covers one package of PMC3, cabochons, bezel cups, jump rings and toggle clasp. Fee also includes hand outs, resources and covers in-class use of tool kit, textures and other consumables.
