Urban Tavern in downtown San Francisco will participate in Earth Hour 2012 on Saturday, March 31 by reducing its lighting and donating a portion of the proceeds from the sales of their Mother Earth Margarita, a cocktail created in the spirit of the occasion, to the World Wildlife Fund. The Mother Earth Margarita will be served from 11:30 a.m. to midnight at a price of $13.00.

Earth Hour (www.earthhour.org), touted as the largest environmental event in history, involves hundreds of millions of people, businesses and governments around the world switching off their lights as a way of sending a message calling for action on climate change.

The Urban Tavern Mother Earth Margarita is made with Casa Noble organic tequila, lime juice, agave syrup and Qi exotic orange and white tea liquor.

Urban Tavern serves American gastropub cuisine prepared with seasonal, fresh, often locally sourced organic ingredients and offers diners five hours of complimentary parking at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.
