Urban Oasis: Screening of "The Face: Jesus in Art". June 15, 2007

The Creative Arts Team at Church of the Resurrection is hosting another Urban Oasis event. Here are the details.

What: Urban Oasis is showing a documentary film entitled "The Face: Jesus in Art". Aired on PBS nationwide and winner of the 2001 Emmy for "Best Cinematography", the film traces the dramatically different ways Jesus has been represented in art throughout history. Following the viewing of the film, we are hoping to have Jerry Eisley from the Washington Arts Group lead us in a discussion about the intersection of faith and art. Light refreshments will follow.

How Much: $5 donation at the door.

Additional Details: We will be running a FREE shuttle from Union Station to the Atlas Theater starting at 7pm. Call 301-751-1802 when you get to Union Station and Clem, the gentleman running the shuttle, will pick you up at Union Station.
