Up, Up and Away? Higher Food Prices and What they Mean to the Economy June 19, 2008

High prices have caused food riots and political instability in several countries. Here at home, farm income is at record levels but consumers are feeling the pinch of higher grocery bills. This hits hardest at those with fixed and low incomes. People all over the world are wondering what has caused the recent run up in food prices, and how the problem can be alleviated.
