The 2009 Auckland Regional High Schools Model UN will be held at the University of Auckland's Business School on the weekend of 28 and 29 March.
This 2 day conference will feature: 6 committees, a General Assembly plenary session on Sunday, and a social event for participants on the Saturday night.
The 6 committes are: Human Rights Council, UN Environment Program, Disarmament Commission,
UNESCO, UN Development Program. Plus we have a special committee, the
ICJ (International Court of Justice)

The
United Nations Youth Association of New Zealand is an organisation run
by youth, for youth, dedicated to upholding the spirit of the United
Nations through raising the awareness, involvement and empowerment of
young people in local, national and international spheres.
The Auckland Region is the oldest of the currently existing UNYANZ
regions. It has won the Cutfield Gavel (for the Most Successful Reigon)
numerous times. We run a number of events throughout the year for both
secondary and University students as well as facilitating overseas
delegations to Conferences.
