University of St. Thomas. Lady Celts and Health Promotion & Wellness Take on Breast Cancer with Dig Pink Volleyball Game

Support breast cancer awareness and the University of St. Thomas Lady Celts Volleyball Team by wearing pink in the stands at the Dig Pink volleyball game at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23 at the Jerabeck Center, 4000 Mt. Vernon, Houston, TX 77006.

At the game, cancer survivors and their families will be honored and presented with flowers. The Lady Celts will also have homemade pink-baked goods for sale, and breast cancer information will be provided by UST Health Promotion & Wellness.

“We gather as a team to do our part to raise money and support breast cancer in our families and community,” said sophomore volleyball player Catherine Loth.

The proceeds from all donations, the bake sale and ticket sales will benefit the Side-Out Foundation located in the Washington, D.C.

Side-Out has raised money for breast cancer research nationally through college and high school volleyball tournaments, clinics and rallies. Funds are currently devoted to target therapies and molecular profiling.

The Lady Celts have home-court advantage against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Admission will be $2 for those wearing pink, free for UST community not wearing pink and $3 for general admission.
