University of Phoenix Hosts Free Workshop on Global Business
Two sessions - Feb. 28 & Mar. 7 – Kearny Mesa Campus – 9 a.m. to 12 noon
SAN DIEGO – The University of Phoenix San Diego Campus is hosting a free seminar, “The Ties That Bind: Understanding International Issues and Modern Global Business,” on two consecutive Saturdays, Feb. 28 and Mar. 7, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. As the world gets smaller, the importance of in-depth global awareness grows exponentially. No college degree is complete without a healthy dose of knowledge about the world beyond our borders.
The event, organized by University of Phoenix’s John Sperling School of Management, College of Graduate Business and Management, features Dr. Kamal Ranasinghe. Dr. Ranasinghe’s unique international perspectives, as they pertain to opportunities for America and entrepreneurial Americans, are guaranteed to expand horizons. The workshop will address questions from participants and guests, and include information on the following topics: worldwide trends, cultural and social behaviors, a global tour of people and places, global employment opportunities, the role of the United States in the international arena. The workshops are for designed for leaders and entrepreneurs in the areas of management, finance, accounting, healthcare, education, and the sciences.
The free workshops will take place at the University of Phoenix, 3890 Murphy Canyon Road, in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego. Held in classrooms #3 and #4, they are open to the public.
