Unite Against Cancer Ride And Livestrong Day 2010 October 3, 2010

On Sunday October 3rd, the LIVESTRONG Army in partnership with the YMCA Healthy Living Center and Mercy Cance Center present the 4th annual Unite Against Cancer Ride.

Join us for a special bike ride honoring the thousands of Iowans affected by cancer and the family, friends and loved ones who support them. Proceeds to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

The festivities begin at 9:00 AM on October 3rd.

LIVESTRONG Day is a day to raise awareness of the 28 million people living with cancer worldwide. It's a day to reduce the stigma of cancer by reaching out to friends, family, colleagues and neighbors. It's a day to share the love and support survivors need to live with dignity and strength and a time to join thousands of supporters around the world as we wear yellow and rally together to honor cancer survivors and the communities of care that are so important to us.

We will hold our annual UNITE AGAINST CANCER bike ride and celebration SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3RD., at The Healthy Living Center in Clive. Complete details will be sent out next week with routes, times, and activities.

At the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) we believe that unity is strength, knowledge is power and attitude is everything. Founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and champion cyclist, Lance Armstrong, the LAF provides the practical information and tools people living with cancer need to live strong.
