Understanding the Haiti Earthquake January 19, 2010

Join us for a special presentation at our Planetary Research Station with Dr. David Bowman, Cal State Fullerton chair of Geological Sciences. We'll show the recent earthquake in Haiti with our real-time earthquake data set displayed on a 6-foot animated globe.

Visitors will learn about why this earthquake occurred and why the quake was particularly devastating for this region of the world. Come to see the newest Discovery Science Center exhibit and gain more in-depth understanding of this current event.
