Every 70 seconds, someone develops Alzheimer’s. But what exactly is Alzheimer’s and what clinical research is being done in the area of this disease? At this program you will hear from experts in the field of Alzheimer's and have an opportunity to ask questions.

The event will feature introductory remarks by Justine Galat, MSA South Central Regional Coordinator for the Alzheimer’s Association Michigan Great Lakes Chapter, followed by presentation on the disease - including information on how to recognize the effects of Alzheimer’s disease on the brain and how to gain access to community resources. Following this introductory presentation, UM clinical research experts will then discuss current Alzheimer’s research. This event is made possible through a Partners In Research Program with the National Institute of Health and is co-sponsored by the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research and the Ann Arbor YMCA.
