25-25 44th Drive
Long Island City, New York 11101

Real estate developer Rockrose Development Corp. and art non-profit Chashama have joined together to bring Rooftop Films’ popular Underground Movies Outdoors series to Long Island City on Thursday July 21 at 8:00 PM at 25-25 44th Drive, Queens, NY.

The popular series, which takes place at different locations throughout the City, will showcase seven films from two to 20 minutes that compliment the night’s theme of “Hope and Heartbreak.” Created by filmmakers from New York, Texas, the United Kingdom and Poland, the series offers a unique perspective on filmmaking around the world.

In addition to the films, the event will also include a live performance from French Post Noise Rock band Careful. After forming in 2009, Careful quickly gained a passionate following by performing regularly throughout Europe. They released their debut EP, What We Have to Say, worldwide in 2010.

The films will be screened on the wall of a Rockrose-owned building, with the concert stage and guest seating located in a parking lot below. Doors open at 8:00 PM, followed by Careful at 8:30 PM and the films at 9:00 PM. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance online or at the door.

The event is easily accessible by taking the E or M trains to 23rd St./Ely Ave., the 7 train to 45 Rd./Court House Sq., or the G train to Court Sq. To purchase tickets online, or to learn more about Underground Movies Outdoors, please visit www.rooftopfilms.com.
