The UMSO opens its 2008–2009 season welcoming faculty soloist Larissa Dedova in Schumann's Piano Concerto. Also, Ives's youthful Symphony No. 2 and a special appearance by the UM Wind Orchestra, led by its new director Michael Votta, performing Christopher Theofanidis' I wander the world in a dream of my own making.
