UM School of Music: Festival of Nine Lessons & Carrols '09 September 23, 2009

UM Choirs present the eighth annual "Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols" in the University's venerable Memorial Chapel. This service is modeled after the world-famous Christmas Eve tradition of King's College in Cambridge, England, which is broadcast annually on National Public Radio.

Led by directors Stephen Holmes and Timothy Reno, this year's event will use the original format of the first festival service in 1918. The service will feature the UM Men's & Women's Choruses, the Maryland Boy Choir, readers from the University campus, and audience participation.

*Advance tickets may be purchased through December 10 at the Clarice Smith Center Ticket Office by using the link below. Ticket prices are $15 general admission, $10 seniors (62+), $5 students and children. On the day of the performance, tickets will be available only at the Memorial Chapel, beginning at 7 p.m.
