This 20-piece powerhouse big band is the latest extension of the famous Neophonic Jazz Orchestra, continuing on to the next step with new music from some of the best-known jazz composers from around the world. Under the leadership of internationally known percussionist and recording artist John Akal, the band has a fresh new book filled with brand new music from Pat Metheny, Lyle Mays, Mike Tomaro, Alan Baylock, Kim Richmond, Gabe Baltizar, Hank Levy, Bob Curnow, John Luebke and Terry Vosbei.
