It’s a bird! No. It’s a plane! No. It’s “Uglydolls!” The new doll “Uglydolls” have invaded Morrow with the help of Conner’s Florist. Customers can now purchase the dolls at the Conner’s Florist location at 1654 Lake Harbin Road in Morrow. “Uglydolls” is part of a new marketing plan that Conner’s Florist is embarking upon in 2009. Conner’s Florist’s new tagline is “Conner’s Florist—changing with the times to better serve the community.”

“Uglydolls” began in 2001 as drawings in love letters between American David Horvath and his soon to be wife Sun-Min Kim. The drawings later evolved into plush dolls, which were sold out of a store in Los Angeles. Today, “Uglydolls” gained national attention when one of the dolls was seen on the backpack of Barack Obama’s daughter Malia.

“Uglydolls” come in many colors and in a wide range of sizes, from a keychain to 2 feet tall. The “Uglydolls” characters come from the “Uglyverse,” a fictional universe where UGLY means unique and special.
