Part activist-pranksters, part social-satirists, The Yes Men pull no punches in their shock-and-awe campaigns of rhetoric bent on exposing hypocrisy in government officials and multinational corporations. They’ve taken on George W. Bush, Dow Chemicals and Exxon Mobile, to name a few. Their acclaimed book, The True Story of the End of the World Trade Organization, chronicles their bogus WTO website and their subsequent appearances as imposter representatives from the organization. A recently released feature-length film The Yes Men Fix the World highlights even more of the duo’s confrontational antics. This UCLA Live engagement affords the audience an in-person glimpse inside the minds of these impassioned provocateurs. UCLA Live at Royce Hall, 340 Royce Drive, Westwood. Thurs., Oct. 14, 8 p.m. (310) 825-2101, www.uclalive.org.
