UBS 12 X 12: New Artists New Work August 27, 2009

'12 x 12: New Artists/New Work' is a series of monthly exhibitions featuring emerging Chicago artists. Chicago artist Jill Frank reinterprets the iconic image of Mary and Baby Jesus in Mother and Child #1 (right) one of a new series of photographs that presents unique perspectives on significant moments in history. The rich color photographs are hung in simple frames to evoke the feel of a family's living room, alongside her earlier series, 'Psychodrama,' that shares awkward and painful personal memories people may wish to forget.
