The 33rd International Saxophone Symposium will be held January 15th and 16th, 2010 at George Mason University Center for the Arts in Fairfax, Virginia. All concerts, clinics, recitals and master classes are FREE, open to the public, and no tickets are required.

Lieutenant Commander Richard H. Bailey and the U.S. Navy Band will feature several artists at the Symposium. Professors Philippe Geiss (Strasbourg Conservatory, France), Timothy McAllister (Arizona State University), and Jonathan Helton (University of Florida) will perform with the Concert Band on Friday at 8 p.m. Also featured on Friday is Navy Band’s Senior Chief Musician Timothy E. Roberts. International recording artist Seamus Blake will appear with the U.S. Navy Band Commodores jazz ensemble on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Additionally, clinics, recitals, and vendor displays are offered on both days. These events are scheduled from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday the 15th, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday the 16th
