Calgary, Alberta

The University of Calgary Board of Governors will be voting on a tuition increase for next year. Alberta currently has the second highest average tuition in Canada, with tuition having risen by over 300% over the last decade. A result of chronic government underfunding, and a tuition policy that links tuition increaes to the base operating budget of universities instead of affordability to the student, the current situation needs to be changed. Come and show your support for post-secondary education system that offers genuine affordability and accessibility to all Albertans. Come and show your support for a fully funded tuition rollback and freeze. Make sure the Alberta government keeps its promise of having the most affordable system in Canada; one where money is not a barrier.
