While at Ignite PR, she and her team have successfully launched or built visibility and market awareness for numerous Web 2.0 companies, several which became leading social networks that provided their user base with a broad range of social media tools. Some of the social media tools that the agency introduced on behalf of clients Multiply.com (a top 100 internet site) and Tagworld (renamed Flux and acquired by MTV Networks). Early in her career, Ms. Hughes honed her skills in PR and word of mouth marketing (WOMMA) while working at some of the Bay Area's most established PR agencies, including Ketchum Communications, Blanc & Otus and Neale-May.
