The full moon of June is often called the Full Strawberry Moon, a reference to the when the native Algonquin tribes of the Great Lakes area would find wild strawberries ripening. Join National Park Ranger Dale Cox on a 6 1/2 mile guided float on the St. Croix River to observe the park at twilight in spring and learn about the special nature of this protected area. Participants must provide their own canoe/ kayak and other gear, including a personal floatation device which must be worn at all times while on river. Rentals and shuttle services are available through area outfitters licensed by the National Park Service.
